The Magnus Aircraft Zrt. and Óbuda University signed a declaration of intent

In line with market needs, Magnus Aircraft Zrt. and Óbuda University have laid the foundations for an innovative cooperation: the development of an electric-powered touring aircraft and the implementation of joint research and development projects. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, Rector of Óbuda University, and Gábor Tarány, President and Owner of the Company on 2 November 2021.

One of the priority goals of the University and Magnus Aircraft Zrt. is to cooperate in the technical development of an electric-powered touring aircraft. Longer-term cooperation will include the development of larger 4-6 seat hybrid and electric aircraft, as well as other joint R&D activities.

In order to create the new type of aircraft, the university will be involved in the design of the so-called powertrain (the system that drives the aircraft), while Magnus Aircraft Zrt. experts will be involved in the design, assembly and testing of the fuselage.

Magnus Aircraft Zrt. will do everything in its power to ensure the success of the projects, so that the cooperation will result in the joint development of the aircraft being brought to market as soon as possible.
