Magnus Aircraft Opens Its First International Showroom in Wuxi, China

Magnus Aircraft Zrt. has opened its first international showroom in Wuxi, China, marking a major milestone in the company’s international expansion and further strengthening its presence in the Asian market.

On 11 November 2024, Magnus Aircraft Zrt. officially opened its first international showroom in Wuxi, China. The new facility is designed to bring the company’s internationally recognized, innovative sport aircraft closer to customers and partners across the Asian market.

The opening ceremony was attended by László Boros, CEO of Magnus Aircraft, and He Guoqing, representing the local city administration, who both addressed the guests.

In his speech, He Guoqing highlighted the significance of the cooperation and the development achieved in Wuxi: “Over the past two years, through mutual benefit and complementary strengths, we have developed an aircraft assembly and carbon-fibre composite materials manufacturing base with a total investment value of EUR 175 million. Its first 1,500-square-metre exhibition hall has now been completed, and with the opening of the Asia-Pacific headquarters, the project has reached another important milestone. We sincerely hope that Jiangsu Magnus will continue to develop and grow on the fertile industrial ground of Huishan and become a globally leading company in the field of light sport aircraft.”

László Boros, CEO of Magnus Aircraft, expressed his appreciation to both the Hungarian and Chinese partners whose support made the initiative possible:
“This showroom is not only a place to showcase our aircraft and technologies. It also gives us an opportunity to build closer relationships with our customers and partners in China. We are grateful for the support we have received from both the Hungarian and Chinese sides, which has enabled us to reach this important milestone.”

The opening of the showroom is part of Magnus Aircraft’s broader development strategy in China. Wuxi has strategic importance for the company, particularly as the region continues to support the development of China’s emerging low-altitude economy. The growing use of low-altitude airspace is creating new opportunities for general aviation and light aircraft operations, opening up further potential for the sport and recreational aviation segment.

At the same time, Magnus Aircraft is developing its first international aircraft manufacturing facility in Wuxi, building on the company’s manufacturing experience and technological foundations established at its Hungarian production site. The planned facility covers approximately 8,000 square metres and is expected to create employment for around 300 people once fully operational. With significant production capacity, the plant is intended to support Magnus Aircraft’s expansion across the Asian market.

The showroom and the new manufacturing facility together represent an important step in Magnus Aircraft’s international growth strategy. Beyond expanding the company’s presence in China and the wider Asia-Pacific region, the developments are also expected to create new opportunities for long-term business and technology cooperation between China and Hungary.

For Magnus Aircraft, Wuxi is becoming an important international hub from which the company can further develop its presence in one of the world’s most dynamic aviation markets.
