Magnus Aircraft has taken another significant step in its expansion across Asia with the opening of its first international showroom in Wuxi, China, on November 11. During a weekend conference, the Hungary-manufactured Magnus Fusion aircraft made its debut before the city’s leadership and the interested public, marking a promising contribution to China’s low-altitude economic goals. “We’re here at base camp, ready for the final ascent,” said CEO László Boros, who attended a private gala dinner on the eve of the conference at the invitation of Wuxi’s Mayor and Party Secretary, further strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
Located in Jiangsu Province, Wuxi is one of China’s fastest-growing economic centers, with a population nearing 7.5 million and a GDP exceeding 1.55 trillion yuan (about 217 billion USD), which surpasses Hungary’s annual GDP in 2023. This growth is built on advanced technology, green energy, and precision manufacturing industries, providing a stable foundation for Magnus Aircraft. Wuxi is a strong advocate for developing the “low-altitude economy,” aiming to boost low-altitude aviation, thus unlocking new business and economic opportunities. The city’s innovative environment, rapid growth, and low-altitude economic strategy make the region an attractive choice for the Hungarian-owned Magnus Aircraft Zrt., which aims to contribute to regional development through future partnerships.
During the weekend’s “Taihu Bay Wuxi Low-Altitude Economy Innovation and Development Conference,” the Magnus Fusion aircraft was showcased live. Gábor Fábián, Head of Sales at Magnus Aircraft Zrt., and Li Qi, the company’s China representative, presented the aircraft to Wuxi’s political leadership and the professional audience in attendance. The aircraft’s modern technology, safe operation, and composite materials drew significant attention from attendees. The conference also saw the Chinese government presenting its national strategy for general aviation development, in which Magnus Aircraft has committed to playing a substantial role.
On the evening before the conference, Magnus Aircraft CEO László Boros received an invitation to a private gala dinner hosted by Mayor Zhaojian Jun. Mr. Boros was the only invited guest from the aviation industry, a recognition that honored not only Magnus Aircraft but also Hungary. “After years of preparation and careful planning, we have reached the milestone where Magnus Aircraft can debut in China. It was a tremendous honor to represent not only our company but also Hungary on this evening. The support and cooperation from Wuxi’s leadership enable us to jointly contribute to the growth of China’s aviation industry. We look to the future with optimism: our first showroom opens in November, and our new plant is structurally complete and is expected to begin production in the spring, serving the Chinese region. We stand prepared to represent both Magnus Aircraft and our country’s values at the highest level. To put it metaphorically, we’re at base camp, ready for the summit push,” stated László Boros, CEO of Magnus Aircraft.
This debut for Magnus Aircraft signals its expanding presence in the Asian market, further strengthened by the upcoming showroom opening in the heart of Jiangsu Province, Wuxi. The grand opening on November 11, attended by provincial leaders and the Minister of Industry, will not only showcase the Magnus Fusion aircraft but also highlight the company’s composite technology, enhancing business relations across Asia and Oceania and supporting the company’s long-term growth throughout China and the entire Asian region.
